Ayesha Rehman joined the institute as founding Dean after a decade split between academia and applied research at a national health agency. Her work on probabilistic models for maternal-health risk stratification is used in district health programmes across Punjab.

She teaches Foundations of Machine Learning and Deep Learning in Practice, and chairs the academy’s curriculum committee. She holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Oxford and a BSc from LUMS.
